The Major Lazer project seems to be coming along nicely. Apparently this guy was a commando soldier during the Jamaican Zombie War of 1984. This was where he lost his arm which was then replaced by a laser cannon. Now he fights vampires but still finds the time to make some futuristic digital dancehall with Diplo and Switch. The first single, Hold the Line, came out like a month ago and I think Pon De Floor is next. A few other tunes leaked and of course there was that Milonakis dub plate. The album Guns Don't Kill People, Lazers Do is scheduled for release on June 16. Listen to this album sampler starting off with Prince Zimboo on that ingenious auto-tuned baby track. This summer will be all about Major Lazer.
